Key Issues being addressed by the Working Group
PAS 43:2008 - The main focus of Working Group 2 had been the production of PAS 43:2008. The agreed revisions had been incorporated into the new version.
Stakeholders - The key stakeholders of PAS 43:2008 now included the Highways Agency and ACPO, who in previous editions of PAS 43 had both been mentioned as supporters, as well as the ABI and AXA Assistance Ltd. The tyre industry were now also represented by REACT as well as the National Tyre Distribution Association
Communication - The main changes to PAS 43:2008 have been incorporated on the SURVIVE website. An important change within this new version of PAS 43 was the inclusion, as an example of best practice, of the National Training Scheme modules contained within the HA Sector Scheme 17b. The price of PAS 43:2008 will be £27and it will be available in colour.
